Unlike conventional tucking bottoms, RUBIES are not intended to completely “hide the bump”. Instead they are designed to convert the pointy area to a more feminine mound. This is why they are extremely comfortable compared to any other products on the market.

For everyday reshaping we recommend the AJ No-Tuck Shaping Bottoms. These can be worn comfortably all day under jeans, leggings, dresses and skirts. If you are looking for more compression we recommend the RUBY No-Tuck Shaping Bikini Bottoms.

All RUBIES tops including underwear and swimwear are designed for people with minimal bust development. They all have pockets to accommodate padding.

Our tops are made to accommodate a slightly wider torso. Our bra has adjustable straps and clasps. The bra strap is stretchy enough to allow the bra to be put on without using a clasp, as some people new to bras can find this daunting.

Our popular Brooke Shaping Bra is a great bra for first time bra wearers.  It comes with foam pads. 

If you wish to experiment with additional shaping, our Shaping Chest Pads come with 3 pairs of pads: a pair of triangular pads, one circular and one thicker dumpling shaped one.  Layer the pads together to get that perfect shape!

Our Magical Shaping Chest Pads combine an innovative combination of soft foam and mineral oil gel to create a natural, plush feel and a realistic shape.

Designed first and foremost as a bikini bottom, some people who prefer tighter compression. love wearing this bikini bottom everyday.
Serena No-Tuck Shorty Shorts
The most versatile shaping bottom we have designed, these shorts can be worn for almost all activities.

RUBIES was first started so people could feel comfortable swimming and hanging out at the beach or poolside.  We have a number of different product suitable for swimming.

The original product that launched RUBIES.  A classic cut bikini offering the right amount of coverage.

Our grown-up bikini bottom, designed with a lower rise, higher leg opening and more cheek in the back.  
Mia Halter Bikini Top
Pairs perfectly with all our swim bottoms.  Halter style can be tied to adjust the fit.

Tank top style swim top offers more coverage and looks great with all our swim bottoms.
Sky No-Tuck Shaping One-Piece
This versatile one-piece can be used for swimming or as a leotard for gymnastics and dance.
Genesis Surf Style Swim Short
These cool feminine style surf shorts are great for hanging at the beach all day and are less form fitting than our other swimwear.


We started RUBIES to help trans girls and women back into doing the activities they love.  For gymnastics and dance we recommend our AJ No-Tuck Shaping Bottoms  which can be worn underneath regular outfits or our Sky No-Tuck Shaping One-Piece that can be used as a leotard. We recommend our Serena No-Tuck Shorty Shorts for comfort in many activities like running and tennis.

If these are intended for your kiddo who is struggling to feel comfortable in their RUBIES, we gently suggest you educate them how girls or women are not flat there either, rather they are just shaped differently. This can be seen in pictures of cis women and girls wearing leggings.

Every product page on the RUBIES website includes a size guide to help you select the right size. The guide works for most but there can always be exceptions.  We have a 60 day satisfaction guarantee so if the sizing is not right the first time it is not a problem for us to exchange it for another size or different product that may work better.


Sizing for all RUBIES clothing for youth should be close to US Youth Sizing which is numeric and ranges from 4-16.  Sizing for adults should be close to standard US Women's sizing which ranges from XXS to 4X.   If it seems far off of what you would have expected, contact us through our chatbot or via email at [email protected].


If you are between sizes in the sizing chart and can’t decide, it may mean that either will work.  It may depend on whether you like to wear your clothing more on the tight or loose size.  This being said for our shaping bottoms to work they should fit comfortably - not too tight or too loose.  If you still can’t decide then I would recommend getting the larger size if for child and the smaller size if for an adult.

All our bras include foam padding and additional padding can be purchased if you wish to experiment with your silhouette.  


Our Magical Shaping Gel Pads have an innovative combination of soft foam and mineral oil gel to create a natural, plush feel and a realistic shape. These pads strike the ideal balance – offering more weight than foam yet lighter than silicone.


Our Shaping Chest Pads include a set of three foam pads -  one pair of triangular pads, one circular and one thicker dumpling shaped one.  They can be layered together to get that perfect shape!


All our padding can be worn under both RUBIES bras and swim tops.



RUBIES has products that are suitable for kids, teens and adults.  


Our founder Jamie Alexander started RUBIES in 2019 because his trans daughter who was then 11 wanted to wear a bikini just like her cis friends. Originally RUBIES had youth sizes from 4-16.  Very soon he had requests from older teens and adults so Jamie added additional sizes up to size 24.  


In 2024 RUBIES began shipping adult sizes and offering clothing more suitable for teens and adults.  Our first grown up product the Cheeky Bikini Bottom has been a hit and we plan to roll out more products designed for teens and adults in 2025.

We love receiving feedback from our customers and use this to make decisions about what new products and styles to offer.


Around twice a year we will send out a new product survey. This is a great opportunity to let us know what new products we could offer and what improvements we could make to our existing ones.

RUBIES is working hard to make products that trans teens and trans women will love. Our Cheeky Bikini Bottoms  have been so popular that we plan to make a more cheeky version of our underwear. We are also working on a sports bra that can be worn under clothing or by itself as well as a tank top for everyday wear.


One of the more exciting things we are starting to work on is dress shoes like heels and flats.  We know many of our customers have a difficult time finding shoes that are wide and large enough.  We don’t think anyone should have to compromise on foot comfort so we are designing shoes specifically for M2F individuals. Up until now the only option has been to purchase shoes made for plus sized cis women. These can work in a pinch, but we think we can do better by redesigning a heel for trans women from scratch.

RUBIES does not stock products for trans masculine people.  There are a number of companies out there that do develop products for this community.

RUBIES was conceived when Jamie and his 11 year-old daughter Ruby, were packing for their first adventure in Central America. Jamie felt nervous: what should Ruby wear to the beach in a country that may not be ready for a girl like her? With that came a bigger question: how could he help girls like Ruby enjoy the same activities as their friends – with the same level of comfort and confidence, and no matter where they went?

Returns and Exchanges

We want you to be completely satisfied, whether you purchased a pair of RUBIES or received them as a donation. With this in mind we offer a 100% guarantee for 60 days from when you receive your package.  This should let you or your child wear them for a few days to see how comfortable they are. 


Exchanges and refund

If they don't fit, no problems we will help you select another size and send them out right way. There is no need to wait for you to return the first pair. 

If they just don't work out we are happy to refund the amount of any items, as soon as you let us know.  

All items returned to us end up in the hands of families that cannot afford to purchase RUBIES.

Orders & Shipping

Delivery times vary depending on the destination and the shipping method selected.

Standard Delivery: Typically arrives within 2 - 7 business days in the US and Canada and 6 - 10 business days internationally.

Expedited Delivery: Typically arrives within 1 - 3 business days in the US and Canada and 3 - 6 business days internationally.

We offer free standard shipping to Canada and the US on orders over $99 USD or about $145 CAD (depending on currency exchange rate).

We typically start working on new orders for shipment on business days at 7am EST the day after orders are placed.  If you need to update your shipping address or change your order contact us  contact us through our chatbot or via email at [email protected] immediately and we will try our best to make the changes.  Once we start working on orders in the morning we are unable to make changes.

Once your order has been placed and processed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order details. This email will include a tracking number and a link to our tracking page.


Click on the tracking number link.  In some cases the carrier (like DHL) will hand the package off to USPS so you may need to follow another link from the tracking link to get more detailed information.


Tracking information may not be immediately available after your order is placed.  It may indicate the shipping label has been created and nothing else.  It can take up to 8 hrs for the number to become active in our system. If you don't see any updates right away, please be patient and check back later.

Yes, we do offer expedited shipping. The estimated shipping time is 1-3 business days to the US and Canada and 3-6 business days internationally.

US Shipping:  Standard US shipping costs $9 USD. We offer free standard shipping to the US on orders over $99 USD.  Expedited shipping is available for $22 USD.

Canadian Shipping: Standard Canadian shipping costs $7 USD or about $10 CAD, which can vary based on the exchange rate. We offer free standard shipping to Canada on orders over $99 USD or about $145 CAD. Expedited shipping is available for $14 USD or about $20 CAD.

International Shipping:  In many cases standard international shipping costs $12 USD. Expedited shipping is available for $35 USD. There are some countries that carriers ship to less frequently and for these we provide some choices.  Untracked standard international shipping costs $12 USD.  Tracked standard international shipping costs $30 USD and expedited international shipping costs $45 USD.


We are sorry to hear you received the wrong item in your order! Please report your order issue to our team via email for further assistance.

Include a photo of the item received and the name of the missing item(s) and we will send over another order with the missing item.

If no one was home at the time of delivery, the carrier will leave the package in a safe location.

Be sure to check around your home and with neighbors/building management who may have collected the package for you.

Also, please double-check the shipping address of your order (in the order confirmation email) to ensure it’s headed to the right location.

On some occasions, packages may be marked as delivered but take additional time to arrive.

If you still are unable to locate the package, please email our team at [email protected] and we will help investigate.  

In the rare case where your package has been lost we will send another package.

We do ship to most countries, however, there may be some we cannot send to based on restrictions outside of our control.

Lost packages

At RUBIES, we strive to ensure every order reaches you in perfect condition. In the event that your order is lost during transit, please reach out to our customer support team at [email protected] with your order number and any relevant details.


Damaged packages

We understand the disappointment of receiving a damaged package. In such instances, please report to our customer support team and include photos of the damaged items or package.

We will review the provided documentation and arrange for a replacement or issue a refund.


In some cases customers outside of the US and Canada are charged duties.  RUBIES will reimburse the cost of duties that are charged on international orders.  If you do receive a bill from the carrier for duties, please pay it so that you can claim your package.  You can reach out to us and send over the receipt and we will refund this amount from your order.

RUBIES recognizes that not all families are able to buy our clothing.  Currently we have a program to donate free swimwear to families in need.  You can fill out an application.  We typically accept all of them!

We need help funding our campaign to send out free swimwear to families in need.  Since we started it in 2020 we have sent out over 1000 free pairs of swimwear and other items.  You can support our efforts by donating via our GoFundMe page.

We're on the lookout for LGBTQ+ organizations with established programs for distributing gender-affirming clothing.
